His quick wit and driven personality probably sealed the deal.

Freckles. And flaming orange red hair. The boy must be a Weasley. There's really no way around it. Those are the first two things you'll notice about Raleigh Weasley. After that, it's his height. He may be tall, standing at 6ft 2in, and slender for a boy. But he's not lanky. Raleigh is fit and takes pride in that, especially since he's not involved with Quidditch to help him stay in shape. He's a perfect blend of both his father's and his mother's features with a triangular shaped jawline

Raleigh is an upbeat and typically optimistic person. He rarely lets most things get to him. And if he's posed with a particularly stressful or daunting situation, he can usually keep his cool. He's clever and quick witted and has a great ability to think on his feet. This makes him an excellent problem solver and someone who things seem to come easily for.

He is also good at controlling his temper and if he doesn't like someone it is very possibly that they would never know. Instead of coming out and berating them, Raleigh woudl be more guilty of subtley throwing quips their way or possibly disguising the matter as if it was all in good fun.

Although Raleigh is laid back, it is not to say that he is passive. In fact, he is quite driven and when he sets goals for himself he does everything to meet them. For all the times that Percy has pushed schedules and rules and plans down Raleigh's throat, he has picked up his own habits including writing out his own to do lists to stay organized.

Raleigh likes to be around his friends. He doesn't have to command attention but he does like to be in the middle of what's going on. He has plenty of jokes and stories to tell as well as other ways to keep a crowd entertained. Raleigh could be considered both charming and eloquent. It's hard not to respond to him and his mischeivously handsome smile.

Another thing that Raleigh really enjoys is the fact that his peers look up to him. He's always loved being a big brother and has tried to bring out that apsect since he first became a Prefect and now Head Boy. He likes passing on what he knows and hopefully getting someone else excited about it. Because of this, Raleigh has been considering becoming a professor after his own school days are over.

To his teachers, Raleigh is the perfect student. He's never late to class, always turns his homework in on time and most often does the extra credit, he's accurate and respectful, responsible and trustworthy. He's a professor's dream. And all of these things are true. However, there is another side to Raleigh---one that is more mischievous and playful. Growing up close to an uncle like Geoge Weasley, it's hard not to appreciate the occasional prank. And thanks to Raleigh's reputation, he can indulge in the hijinks and not be suspected at all.

He could also be considered a bit of a playboy. Raleigh enjoys women. But that doesn't mean that he enjoys taking advantage of them. He fully appreciates every girl he's with and treats her immaculately while they are together. However, the catch is that Raleigh doesn't do relationships. He is more known to casually date than get himself into a relationship these days. If he likes a girl, he's not opposed to taking her out more than once however. And he does enjoy doing sweet things for the girls that he is dating, including surprises and romantic dates.

FATHER: Percy Weasley: Order. Rules. Career. These things used to be most important to a young Percy Weasley. So much so that it almost completely drove him away from his family. Although it took a few devastating events, including a war and the death of his brother, Percy came to his senses. He quit his job at the Ministry and left to make things right. And after doing so with his family, Percy Weasley decided to re-evaluate his life. Perhaps his job didn't have to take the top priority. Perhaps rebuilding relationships with his family and friends needed some attention too. During this time that he was putting his life back into perspective, Percy was reunited with Penelope Clearwater, an old girlfriend from his days at Hogwarts. The attraction was still there and it didn't take much effort for things to just fall back into place for them. So Percy figured, perhaps it was also time to start a family of his own. He proposed to her within the next year and the two were married the following Spring 2003. Now Percy couldn't escape from the man that he was. And with a wife to support, he was only more convinced that it would be a good idea to try to find work within the Ministry again. Percy reclaimed a position in the Department of International Magical Cooperation in the late winter of 2004, just in time for Penelope's announcement that she was pregnant. He has been working there since, and helping Penelope to raise three more children as time went on.
Their Relationship: Even though Percy brags about Raleigh and his accomplishments, he is still very critical of him and is constantly pushing Raleigh to do better, comparing his son to himself. Since Raleigh was very young he has always done everything he could to keep his father proud and boastful of him. He hides certain parts of his life and interests that he knows his father would not approve of or be very suportive of. However, Raleigh accentuates and likes to point out his achievements so that his father doesn't think that he is slacking off. Because of all the pressure that Raleigh feels to be the perfect son, there has always been a wall between Percy and Raleigh. Though Raleigh will admit that he is sure that his father thinks of him as his favorite, they were never able to form a close comfortable bond. Raleigh is less easy going around his father and more self conscious about how he appears and acts. Raleigh has never talked to his father about how the pressure affects him.

MOTHER: Penelope [Clearwater] Weasley: After the war, Penelope knew that she wanted to help people. She was always a smart young woman who was able to pick up her studies quite quickly. And being ambitious and undaunted by a challenge, Penelope figured that there wouldn't be anything that she wouldn't be able to with the proper training. So when the opportunity came to work in St. Mungos she jumped on it. She would be placed on the fourth floor handling cases in the spell damage ward. Penelope loved her work from the beginning. Just as her career was falling into place, she was reunited with her school sweetheart Percy Weasley. Enough had changed in each of their lives but there was still something sparking between them. Penelope's life was back on track and heading in the exact direction she wanted when things became more serious with Percy. It was an easy decision to say yes to his marriage proposal. With her career already in place, Penelope supported the two until Pecy could secure his position at the Ministry. Shortly after the couple found out that Penelope was pregnant. It was a surprise to them as well as everyone that knew them, considering everyone knew how they both liked to plan and schedule everything. Still, it wasn't a bad time in their lives and they were comfortable with the idea of becoming parents. Penelope took a leave from her job in order to stay at home with Raleigh during his first years of life. Of course, within the following year after his birth, she found herself pregnant again. The Weasley's family continued to grow and Penelope stayed at home with each child, wanting to make sure they were raised in a loving environment where each would be attention they deserved. However, Penelope longed to get back to work. It was her passion after all. So once all of their children were of age to attend Hogwarts, Penelope returned to St. Mungo's, back to the fourth floor, where she is currently working.
Their Relationship: Penelope also expects a lot of her children. And it seems that since she has been used to the level at which Raleigh performs, that she expects nothing less than perfection from him. Though she is not so straight forward or as pushy as Percy may be, she can also be somewhat critical of Raleigh. He is not particularly close to her but he feels more comfortable telling her no and explaining himself to his mother than he does to his father. Penelope is more rewarding with compliments than Percy is, although sometimes Raleigh feels like his mother overexaggerates these things because his father says so little to him. She did manage to pass on her ability in charms as well as her knowledge of curing and couteracting charmwork gone wrong.

Raleigh Alasdair was the first child born to Percy and Penelope Weasley. Though the news of the pregnancy was a surprise, the couple were more than overjoyed to learn they would be having a baby boy. Raleigh was his father's pride and joy from day one. Even though Percy was working full time, with plenty of over time hours at the Ministry, he spent as much time as he possibly could with Raleigh during the first year of his life. Percy was there for every milestone in baby Raleigh's life. And he's been bragging about Raleigh's ability since the child learned to crawl, walk, and speak his first words---which happened to be "no", "ma" and then "dahdee" after Percy pushed and pushed for him to see daddy. Percy's expectations for Raleigh had always been high, even when Raleigh was a toddler.

Percy had to have felt some sort of special bond with his first born son. He was very adament that the boy grow up to be just like him, having all sort of aspirations for his son and his ability to live up to his potential. Percy had always been proud of his own accomplishments and wanted that for Raleigh as well. Even though Percy was a good father to the rest of his chilren, it was somewhat obvious that Raleigh was the favorite. This sometimes made things awkward for Raleigh with his relationships with his siblings. But he had always tried to get along with them as best as he could.

As a child, Raleigh was under pressure to live up to his father's expectations and to be the son that he was made out to be. After, Percy's habit of bragging to his brother's about his son's capabilities never really waned. In the beginning, Raleigh didn't look at the situation in such a negative way. He really did enjoy the attention from his father and the praise. It made him feel good to know that he made his father proud. And of course, his mother was right there too, filling in the blanks with more compliments and things.

It was somewhat awkward at times to be around his siblings or even his cousins when his father would go on and on about him. The things he said were flattering but a little over the top. As time went on, Raleigh would learn clever things to smooth things over to talk it all down.

Growing up a Weasley meant that he had plenty of options for companions with all his cousins and extended family. And the Burrow, his grandparents home, seemed to be the meeting place for all kinds of family functions and get togethers. For the most part, the family got along great, especially the kids. And Raleigh now has a million memories of the family gathering around and talking, or splitting off into teams and playing Quidditch in the yard, or running around causing mischief. Because if you're a Weasley, Mischief might as well be your middle name. Well, that was what Raleigh gathered from teh stories both his grandparents and uncles would tell. And of all his uncles, George was Raleigh's favorite. He seemed so much more relaxed than his own father, and Raleigh loved going over to Uncle George's house as a child because things were run completely differently than Percy and Penelope's household was. Uncle George seemed to be more understanding and less uptight than his own father, and on a personal level Raleigh got closer to him. He also got the chance to be closer to those cousins.

Raleigh's childhood had been full. He kept busy with his cousins and even doing plenty of things with his father to prepare himself for when the time came to begin school. And to Percy, it was merely a blink of an eye before it was time to escort Raleigh to Platform 9 3/4 to get Raleigh on his way to Hogwarts. It was one of the proudest moments of his life so far.

During Raleigh's first years at Hogwarts, he was very straightlaced. He couldv'e been considered quite the nerd because he followed every rule and spent much of his freetime studying. It was exactly what his father told him he would need to do in order to succeed and one day accomplish and perhaps exceed the things his father did while at the school. At the time, Raleigh thought that was what he wanted, to be like his father though perhaps a bit less uptight. His memories of that time are not all bad or boring. He was able to observe a lot and though he never got into trouble or dared to do anything mischievous, he took mental notes of what everyone else was up to and just how they were able to get away with these things.

It was over the summer after his third year that his cousin [

open] decided to intervene and get Raleigh to loosen up a little. They spent the summer hanging out and getting into all sort of trouble. Raleigh had the most fun that he had ever had in those short summer months. And most of the things they were doing were completely harmless. It was nice to have something to open his eyes, and Raleigh listened to every piece of advice that his cousin had to give.

The next year at school was completely different for Raleigh. For once, he mellowed out and started to have more fun at school. He learned how not to stress himself out over every little detail and to just relax. And he also figured out that not every thing he did had to be academic related; that there was other fun to be had within the castle. His years befor had helped him get into good study habits so he was still able to balance out academics and this newfound need for release and fun. And since he had built up such a good reputation for himself, his professors never suspected him when he was involved in certain hijinks.

Another year and Raleigh started to get comfortable in this newfound popularity that he seemed to have fallen into. It turned out that when he finaly took the time to hang out with other people and get involved, that he was quite clever, charming and rather likeable to most of his classmates. It gave him a certain level of confidence that he never flexed before. Girls started to pay more attention to him, too. And so it was during his fifth year that Raleigh had his first real relationship. He dated her for most of the year and the two got pretty close. As an eager young man, he was open to experiment and so she was his first real experience with anything sexual. The relationship also taught Raleigh how to be a good boyfriend. And although he doesn't have relationships now, he is still very doting, flirty, considerate and accomodating when he is casually dating someone.

Raleigh's sixth year was a time when his reputation really began to grow as the "go to guy" or big brother type if you needed anything from advice to help sneaking out to Hogsmeade. He's always been smart, empathetic and clever but that mischievous streak is what makes Raleigh the perfect partner for plotting.

Throughout his years at Hogwarts, Raleigh has transitioned a lot. But he has always managed to keep things in balance. He's yet to let his parents down, still carrying high O.W.L. scores, and making prefect since 5th year. Now that he is in his 7th year, Raleigh has earned the position as Head Boy. Of course, his father is thrilled, and Raleigh is quite proud as well. He's so casual about things that he doesn't intend to let the position go to his head, he'd rather appear as the 'cool' Head Boy and end up being more of a role model and big brother sort than someone that the other students wish not to run into in the hallways. As for girls, he can't help his flirty nature and always seems to have attention when he wants it. Of course, he still sticks to treating every girl like a queen, no matter how short their time together is. But as for right now, he's not looking for a relationship. It's his 7th year and the only thing he wants to plan for is having fun though there is plenty of pressure from both of his parents to figure out what he wants to do with his life after Hogwarts.
